Now Mr Random.Org chose last weeks lucky winner, number 41, and that person is . . .

Jan from ABC- Art, Bellydancing and Crafting

Many congratulations from everyone on the Fab'n'Funky DT. Please email us putting "Challenge #107 winner" in the subject line, which will help us get your prize to you a lot quicker.

Now this week we have a wonderful NEW sponsor and they are offering one lucky winner a brilliant prize. Without further ado, please give a very warm Fab'n'Funky welcome to . . .

My Creative Classroom is an online arts and crafts learning centre. Our interactive and in-depth courses are instructor led and filled with wonderful projects and techniques to help you get the most out of your supplies. This Spring MCC will be offering over 100 courses. From the Cricut to Primas, to mixed media and rubber stamping, to scrapbooking, sewing and more; we have something for everyone. Don't miss out on some wonderful classes starting now:

We are excited to be sponsoring Fab 'n Funky Challenge Blog. You can view our entire class list on our website at My Creative Classroom. You can also view classes on our Facebook Page too! One lucky winner will receive a free seat to a class of their choice.....Good Luck!

So to compliment our new sponsor this weeks challenge is just that . . . a challenge to challenge you !! So we have called it . .

"Try something new!"

What we would like you to do is try a technique that you either have not tried before or one that is possibly outside your comfort zone. Now this sounds a very daunting challenge but it does not have to be . . . . we promise and here are some examples of things you could do :
  • if you make busy cards NOW make a one layer card or a clean & simple card instead
  • if you are a die hard stamper NOW use a digi image instead
  • use your ink pads in a different way; now is the time to try that technique
  • use a material that you have never used before; flocking, printable acetate, safmat etc
  • if you make girly cards, challenge yourself to make a MALE card!
  • make a different shaped card
  • use a colour you normally shy away from
  • alter a box, picture frame to make a personalised gift
Go on, give it a go - you'll be surprised how much fun you had making your project. Here is what the DT created and don't forget to visit their blogs to find out what their "NEW" thing was . . .

Sharon
(using Mulberry paper tearing)

Anne Marie
(using Cross stitch)

Emma
(using a tissue paper/acetate technique)

Wendy
(Used faux stitching)
 Alexis
(First ever easle card)
Rachel
(used Metal magic)

(tried her hand at digital crafting using MCS)
. . . but now can't upload it . . . aaahhhhhh!

Have to get eldest son to tell me how to save my file as a JPEG or PNG. If anyone else knows, please contact me as have spent ages creating my page! You can leave a very helpful comment over on my blog (or here) as I have also done a big "HELP" shout out there too!!!

So folks, what technique or new material or something else are you going to try?

The Fab'n'Funky DT
